…created hair raising videos in a classroom explaining the climate crisis in 60 seconds (600k views), and we filmed Greta Thunberg giving a call to action to get out on the streets (250k views) along with over 25 other pieces of content, all in 8 weeks to galvanise support for what turned out to be the biggest climate mobilisation ever.
To get so much done so fast we worked via our sister viral film agency Rubber Republic, and collaborated with viral campaign expert Richard Roaf and his team at Video Rev and pooled our resources to help young people from the UKSCN create a suite of shareable videos, putting the incredible young voices at the heart of the Youth Climate Strike in charge of what we said and how we said it.
Working with teams from Greenpeace, WWF and 350.org, we also trained, facilitated and helped the Youth Strikers to create their own content that would resonate with their peers, their parents, the population at large, and the media.
The resulting films gained over 4 million views, and on the 20th September 2019, 4 million people in 160 different countries took to the streets with the Youth Climate Strike and protested against government inaction.
